Thank you for stopping by and checking out our site, My dad and I are so excited you are considering us to help you with your home improvement, renovation and design needs.

As long as I can remember, my dad has been in construction and handy man work… everyone around the city knows to call him for all their home improvement and handyman needs. I never thought that I would want to join him, despite his efforts to teach me all that he could so that I would never have to depend on a man to fix or make anything. However, it wasn’t until I purchased my first home in 2015, for the idea of us starting a business together to become a dream I never knew I wanted.

Today, we are excited to say that the dream is alive and we have started Johnson’s Home Improvements Handyman Repair and Renovations “Improving & Repairing your home, one dream at a time!”

Principal Designer & Planner

Deniesha is Co-Founder, Principal Designer and Planner with her father Carl Johnson at Johnson’s Home Improvements. They came up with the idea as a way to capitalize on their interest in the industry. It started for Deniesha when she was a child making homes out of shoe boxes at her grandmother’s house, she then decided to study Architecture her freshman year of college at Florida A & M University, soon after she transitioned to the University of Minnesota where she studied Interior Design & Decoration her sophomore year of college and finished her college career with a BS degree in Business Administration from Florida A & M University graduating in 2005. Deniesha has always been an intuitively creative person, works well with her hands and has over 10 years of an art/design background. Not to mention her 10 years in the field of Project Coordination/Management, Deniesha embodies the very being of creating timeless designs.  She has such creativity in her design and planning process, a patient demeanor when working with her clients, a strong organization skill and a precise attention to detail; it's no wonder her designs seem to come together so effortlessly. 

Carl Johnson Sr.

Principal Contractor

Carl is Co-Founder & Principal Contractor with his daughter Deniesha Johnson at Johnson’s Home Improvements. Carl and Deniesha came up with the idea as a way to capitalize on their interest in the industry. Carl started out his hand in contracting from assisting his step-father in home renovations as a young teenager. Over the years Carl continues to hone in on his construction skills through various union jobs as a highway maintenance person, commercial building maintenance & maintaining his handyman business. With his background and over 40 years in the industry, Carl (has become such a perfectionist) is the executor of the renovations, improvements and repairs specializing in painting, drywall, concrete, masonry, tile, flooring, light construction, handyman work, window/door installation, limited electrical and plumbing and some landscaping/ deck work.
